My name is Kelly Moore, and I am a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) with a Specialist degree (Ed.S) in School Psychology. With over 15 years of experience working in public schools and private practice, I have dedicated my career to helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

What's Included in a Gifted Evaluation?
- Initial Consultation: A complimentary phone consultation to discuss your concerns and determine if an evaluation is appropriate.
- Parent & Teacher Input: Gathering valuable background information and observations through structured questionnaires.
- Individual Cognitive Assessment (IQ Test): A one-on-one session with your child using a standardized, nationally-recognized intelligence test to assess their cognitive processing and reasoning abilities.
- Scoring, Analysis & Interpretation: A thorough analysis of all assessment data to create a comprehensive profile of your child's strengths and learning style.
- Detailed Written Report: A comprehensive, easy-to-understand report detailing the evaluation results, interpretation, and personalized recommendations for home and school.
- Feedback Session: A private meeting to review the report, discuss the findings, and answer all of your questions.

We'll start with a phone call to discuss your child's needs and I'll answer your initial questions.
Gather Information
You'll complete background and developmental history forms to provide a full picture of your child.
Testing Session
Your child will meet with me for a one-on-one, engaging testing session in a relaxed environment.
Feedback & Report
We will meet to review the comprehensive report and discuss results and recommendations together.

What are some common signs of a gifted child?
Common traits include advanced vocabulary, rapid learning, intense curiosity, a vivid imagination, a strong sense of justice, a quirky sense of humor, and a preference for older companions. However, giftedness can look different in every child.
How long does the testing session take?
The one-on-one testing session typically lasts between 1.5 to 2.5 hours, including short breaks as needed to ensure your child remains comfortable and engaged.
How can the evaluation results be used?
The results provide a formal identification of your child's intellectual abilities. The report can be used to apply for gifted programs at school, guide educational planning and enrichment, and help you better understand your child's unique learning profile.
